Satisfaction...

Pandey sir is a middle aged man, very senior to me. He works in a company in Noida on the designation of Manager. Few days back he was very happy.

He said cheerfully to me, "guess what how much increment a person can get??"

i said, "dont know about company like..."

"humme...", He was so excited that he could not wait to complete my sentence,

He paused for a second then continued, "humme 24% increment mila hai... "

He said with an expression that can be called as "more then smiling"

I asked "so now how much you will be getting in hand?"

"more than 18000 a month..." he replied, unsucessfully controlling his enthusiasm...

I reached office, i was called for getting the Appraisal letter.

I was given a good increment, despite of that i was dissatisfied. I thought it was too less. My company does not give good salaries and what not…

The day ended, next morning I was again thinking about my increment, unhappy and dissatisfied, eventually we met again (pandey sir and me)…

He asked, "aur bhai tumhara increment kab ho raha hai…"

That reminded me of his increment he was telling last morning,

Suddenly a question popped up in my mind, “the person was getting much less then me, he is feeding his whole family of 2 daughters and a wife, beside other expenses he had to save money for marriage of daughters also, still he was very happy, then what was the thing which was making me unhappy? ” I asked myself.

My inner self instantly replied, “SATISFACTION”… more a person gets more he seeks for…

I started feeling better, more satisfied...

Sard Hawa...

kucch pal to theherti e sard hawa,
ki tere rukne se dil ke samundar main hulchul na thi.

woh ho kya gaye apne kucch palon ke liye,
zindagi ne un maqamon ki zehen pe tasveer si chhod di.

manzil ki talash main yun baha
rahgir kab dur ho gaye, ki jaise saath chalne ki kasam hi na thi.

behta jaonga tere hi sang unke dar ti talash main,
fasle itne ho gaye ki dilon ki dhadkan ki aahat bhi na rahi...

kucch pal to theherti e sard hawa......"

Ab Ke Baras Jab Barsaat Hui...

Ab ke baras jab barsat hui,
Kuch purani yadon se mulaqat hui,

Barsaat ke paani main jab jahan jhoom raha tha,
Yeh dil akela, tanha, bus tumhi ko dhuund raha tha,

Sooni subah ki thandi parchai main, pani girta tha, Dil bhi rota tha,
Magar, zindagi ki chaadar pe koi akela hi sota tha,

Baahon main bahein dale, ek doosre ki chhaun tale,
Sab dikhte they khush, sab apni zindagi ke ghamon se duur chale,

Ek humare jasbaat they, jo kabhi tum tak pahuch na aaye,
Aur ek tumhari chaahat, jo hum kabhi jeet na paaye,

Kai ummeeden tooti, shaamein roothin, zindagi fir se banjar zameen si rookhi hui,
Ab ke baras jab barsaat hui...

Strength of a man...

The strength of a man isn't seen in the width of his shoulders, it is seen in the width of his arms that encircle you.

The strength of a man isn't in the deep tone of his voice, it is in the gentle words he whispers.

The strength of a man isn't how many buddies he has, it is how good a buddy he is with his kids.

The strength of a man isn't in how respected he is at work, it is in how respected he is at home.

The strength of a man isn't in how hard he hits, it is in how tender he touches.

The strength of a man isn't how many women he's Loved by, it is in can he be true to one woman.

The strength of a man isn't in the weight he can lift, it is in the burdens he can understand and overcome.

Feeding Poor...

"Shubhmoy, can you please do me a favour...", said Ajit san with her as always glittering eyes.

"Sure..." i said with a question in my tone.

She handed me over a packet wrapped in a silver foil, obviously there were some eatables in that.

"Can you please give this to the people sitting over there...", she said, pointing towards a family of labor, who was having food on a road side beside a nala(drain).

"Sure", i said, took the packet and left... in the small way of around 100 yards, i was filled with uncertainities,

Why is Ajit san doing that? She could have thrown that in dustbin...

Finally i reached to that family of 3 kids and a couple... i gave the packet to the man who was looking like head of the family,

and to my surprise, he took the packet, without hesitation and handed over to one of the kid immediately.

On my way back same 100 yards, all of my uncertainities were clear,

Ajit san knew that it is always better to give something to a person who cannot afford then simply throwing it away.

For me also it was so satisfying. I still remember smile on the face of kid who got the packet.

"Ajit san, Thanks", i said to her.

"For what??"

"For making me part of this nobel task..."

"Any time...", she said with a smile and left...

Life...

Day before yesterday
I was travelling in a bus, way to my office. It was a rainy day and traffic was moving little slower then usual days. There was a girl sitting behind me, little plump but cute...

I remember i had seen her few days back also on same route, she was having a heated argument with conductor regarding overcharging for tickets,

She asked me,
"Excuse me!! Could you please tell me where is Sahara (an office in between...)"
i was little surprised on that question, she was regular office goer, she used to commute to that place almost daily, then how is it possible that she does not know the place.
Well i showed her the venue, she thanked me with a smile and got down from the bus.

All of a sudden i heard a loud cry and screeching breaks of a car. It was a horrible sound, we all stood up to see what has happened... the same girl was lying on the road, upside down.

She was trying to cross the road in hurry to prevent herself from rain oversighting the coming traffic and a speedy car hit her very badly. The car fled away.

When we turned her back, there were no apprent sign of injuries, except a small line of blood from nose...

her eyes were closed,

the innocence on her face was same as that of a kid,

she was looking painless and in complete peace...

peace of silence, peace of satisfaction,

she was dead...
